Judges' Comments

Kym Milne
Young, jubey, juicy fruit aromas. Ripe flavours, rich and soft with a warm alcohol feel on the finish.

Stuart Halliday
Uplifted spice black fruit on the nose. Silky tannins on the mid palate, nice and rip, but not extracted. Only a small lick of oak

Oliver Masters
Medium dark red, open and intense youthful creamy red fruited nose, sweet red fruit on palate with good supporting tannins, good match with BBQ Octopus

Natasha Hughes
Red berry, spice and bubble gum. Brisk acid and fuzzy tannins and a velvety texture. Persistent finish. Liquorice note.

Corey Ryan
Crimson hues, lifted vibrant wine blue berry and spice aromas. A fresh youthful juicy palate with richness and intensity. The wine finishes full and vibrant. The food dish brings out a lovely freshness in the wine, the blue fruits and vibrancy is well promoted. A delicious pairing.

Matthew Deller
Medium dark appearance. Lifted berry fruit, banana (whole berry?), herbal notes, spiced mocha. Fleshy, creamy, juicy acidity, soft rounded tannins, bit sweet. Moderate length. Food accentuates the primary, unresolved nature of the wine.
