Judges' Comments
Warren Gibson
Spicy and lifted. Fresh and pure. White pepper and blackcurrant. Nice balance. Good freshness and acidity. Savoury flavours linger with the dish

Meg Brodtmann
Jubey blackberry with some brambley aromas. The palate is less jubey with blackcurrant leaf and some mint flavours. Fine grained tannins provide support for the elegant fruit. Lovely match with the steak.

Dr Ken Dobler
Deep brick red with crimson hints. Attractive black cherry and black olive aromas on the nose with complex tobacco leaf notes. Really impressive palate with enticing black fruit flavours and well balanced tannic length.

Brent Marris
Lovely ripe berry fruit nose following onto palate. Clean and bright with lifted savoury characters on the finish. Well integrated oak. A great match with the steak dish as the savoury notes are enhanced.

Ying Tan
Deep red. Crushed red berries on nose. Med-full, dry, tannic, slightly toasty, dark blackcurrant, slightly earthy notes on palate. Dry finish. Slightly warm tail. Sirloin brings out the ripe fruit on the wine.

Sue Bastian
Deep ruby with slight orange rim. Dark berry fruits, leafy herbs. Rich intense fruit on palate with lovely furry tannin. Nicely balanced, with slight warming liquorice spicy finish. Robust dish goes well with this wine.
